Cosmetically, it is flawless. Not a scratch or ding and runs silently. Mqc the peripherals work fine. Really super unit for the price. I plan on upgrading to an ssd drive and maxing the memory 8GB and this will be a little powerhouse. Plan on getting more.

I'm putting the built-in Bluetooth to good use with Apple's wireless keyboard and magic mouse. If you're just checking email and web surfing, you're going to be more than happy with this machine. The hard disk on this model is not as slow as what I had on my older Mac Mini.
The slow hard disk on the older model was part of the reason I hesitated to purchase this model.

The built-in superdrive really should have been Blu-Ray. I liked it so much I 2010 two, and discovered that mac were not all shipped with the same OS or firmware configuration. All these models still have an optical drive incorporated in the unit, which comes fof handy if you have forr boot from the OS X dvd.
Note: if you purchase the Server version instead of the desktop, you have two internal hard drives and no optical drive. I really enjoy the machine, and I encourage anyone who likes Mac to buy it. It has been very stable. However, not all models shipped with the same configuration due to the fast pace of changing software.
So I provide the following technical information for those who are buying and older model for a specific purpose, and not just the reduced cost. Apple phone Tech Support cannot alter firmware. Depending upon when it was put together, this same model sometimes shipped with Snow Leopard v In some cases the firmware will allow a unit shipped with Lion to also have an instance of Snow Leopard.
This is called "double booting. Some people are stuck with Rosetta Stone v2 because the language is part of the grant funded endangered language program, and v3 cannot read the language discs for v2. Note: Rosetta Stone gets customer support was kind enough to email me that v2 would not work with Lion before the Lion upgrade became available.
However, upgrading the language discs to the current version for the endangered language would be far better. This is a fairly easy process, but have TimeMachine backups just in case. Use Mac Disk Utility, create a second partition. Insert the Snow Leopard OS X install dvd, reboot holding down "c" and complete the installation process. You can control which operating system boots by pressing "alt" while rebooting and then choosing the correct drive, or you can select a default drive in the OS System Preferences.
Sadly, Rosetta Stone v2 also will not work with Windows 7.

You would need a new hard drive for your TimeMachine backups to get going again. Booting from disc takes quite a while, so don't shut it down thinking that it has hung.
Note: Rescuing systems usually requires a USB connected keyboard and mouse. Snow Leopard did not ship with the drivers for the wireless ones.
